Caring Collective announces 2026-2027 board of directors

Group includes diverse community representation, CEO notes

This week, Caring Collective, a nonprofit organization “dedicated to achieving better lives and livelihoods for all our neighbors,” announced its board of directors for the 2026-27.

Barbara Coleman is serving as president; Jeanne Armour, as vice president and treasurer; and Ann Olson as secretary, a news release says.

Further, the release notes, Nancy Lyon, Katie Kominos and Robert Harlan became board members this year, joining Henry Decoo, Lisa Matthews, Lauren Tominelli, and Sadie V., the STAR student representative.

“Our board includes diverse representation from across the community,” Charlene Altenhain, CEO of Caring Collective, pointed out in the release. “We appreciate their service and look forward to the year ahead,” she added.

“Caring Collective’s vision is that by working collectively, nonprofits can solve our community’s urgent problems and unmet needs,” ensuring that everyone can thrive, the release explains. “The organization’s Glasser/Schoenbaum Campus of Caring houses 17 independent health and human services nonprofits that provide services for children, women, men, and families primarily from Sarasota and Manatee counties,” the release says.
