Wednesday, Nov. 30, is the last day to pay property taxes with a 4% discount, Sarasota County Tax Collector Barbara Ford-Coates is reminding the public.

“The last week of November is a very busy time in the office, so to better serve our customers who like to pay in person, our annual property tax drive-through service will be available two days this year,” she has announced.

Customers wishing to pay in person on Monday or Wednesday, Nov. 28 or 30, may take advantage of the drive-through from 8:30 a.m. to 5 at the following service centers: in downtown Sarasota at the Terrace Building, in South Sarasota across from Palmer Ranch Plaza, and in Venice at the Anderson Administration Building, a news release says.

“We will also be open from 8:30 [a.m.] to 4:30 [p.m.] on Wednesday, Nov. 30, in North Port City Hall,” Ford-Coates said in the release.

In addition to paying in person, there are other ways to receive the 4% discount:

  • Pay online at www.SarasotaTaxCollector.com by 11:59 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Nov. 30.
  • Mail your check, postmarked by Wednesday, Nov. 30, payable to Tax Collector Barbara Ford-Coates, to 101 S. Washington Blvd., Sarasota FL 34236.
  • Place your payment in a 24-hour drop-box by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at the Tax Collector’s Office in the following locations: downtown Sarasota at the south entrance of the Terrace Building on Adams Lane; in the drive-through lane at the South Sarasota Office (west of Palmer Ranch Plaza at 8484 S. Tamiami Trail); and in Venice, to the right of the main entrance (facing U.S. 41) and the fountain at the R.L. Anderson Administration Building.
