Devices will allow people to view materials for upcoming meetings
As part of the City of Sarasota’s ongoing effort to bring information to the public “in the most efficient and effective way possible,” the Office of the City Auditor and Clerk has announced that new agenda kiosks have been placed in City Hall.
The agenda kiosks are designed for the specific purpose of allowing users to view agendas and backup materials for upcoming meetings, a news release explains. “This is achieved with elegant design and simplicity of use so that this important information is readily available,” the release adds.
“We’re very excited to continue our commitment to openness and transparency,” said City Auditor and Clerk Pamela Nadalini in the release. “Along with our recently installed digital signage project, this provides another way for citizens to get important information in a convenient way.”
One kiosk is located in the lobby, outside Room 110, the release notes. A second kiosk stands in the City Commission Chambers. The latter will replace the agenda booklet that has been printed and placed in the Commission Chambers for public viewing during meetings, the release points out. “This reduces both cost and environmental impact,” the release says.
