Event will be conducted at Selby Gardens
A memorial service for former Sarasota County Commissioner Nora Patterson has been scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in downtown Sarasota, the family has announced.
The Gardens are located at 1534 Mound St. in Sarasota.
Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park is handling the arrangements.
As The Sarasota News Leader has reported, Leonore “Nora” Kerz Patterson passed away on Feb. 8 at the age of 79. She had served on the Sarasota City Commission — including a stint as mayor — before winning four terms on the County Commission. She had to step down from the latter board in 2014 because of term limits.
