Gallagher’s Gift Giveaway launched for South County families who lost household items to Hurricane Ian

United Way of South Sarasota County inviting applications through Dec. 18

In partnership with several “community-minded organizations,” the United Way of South Sarasota County has launched Gallagher’s Gift Giveaway, to help South County residents replace who lost household because of Hurricane Ian’s effects, the nonprofit has announced.

Selected recipients may receive items such as decorative bathroom products, kitchenware, baking tools and other household goods, a news release notes.

To be eligible for the giveaway, a person or family must live in South Sarasota County, the release emphasizes. Interested participants “must complete a simple online form” no later than Sunday, Dec. 18, the release adds.

The webpage with the forms became available on Dec. 13, the release says.

“Submission of an application does not guarantee selection,” the release points out. Those chosen as recipients “will be contacted to coordinate pick-up details,” the release adds.
