The Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Department, the Baltimore Orioles and the Sarasota Film Festival will present Howl-O-Ween Movie Night Spooktacular on Saturday, Oct. 13, at Ed Smith Stadium, the organizations have announced.

Among the festivities along the stadium concourse and on the baseball field will be children’s games, activities and photo opportunities, followed by a costume parade around the bases from 5 to 6:30 p.m., a news release says. The movie — Hocus Pocus, which is rated PG — will begin at 7 p.m., the release adds.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets they can sit on to enjoy the movie from the outfield, or they are welcome to watch the film from the stadium seating, the release notes.

Entry at the left field gate will begin at 5 p.m. Each group of attendees is asked to bring one nonperishable food item to benefit All Faiths Food Bank, in lieu of payment for admission, the release points out.

Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult, the release notes.

Concessions will be available, but sealed water bottles will be allowed, the release says. Coolers and outside food will not permitted inside the stadium.

High heels, folding chairs and strollers are not allowed on the field, the release points out.

Ed Smith Stadium is located at 2700 12thSt. in Sarasota.
