In-person early voting for the Nov. 3 General Election will begin Monday, Oct. 19, and continue for two weeks, including weekends,

Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner has announced.

“In-person early voting is a convenient way to cast your ballot before election day,” Turner said in a news release. “For the upcoming Nov. 3 General Election,” he continued in the release, “there are 11 early voting sites to choose from. Importantly, during the early voting period, voters may vote at any of the 11 early voting sites,” Turner pointed out.

The hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. each day, concluding on Nov. 1, the news release says. The 11 sites will be available throughout the county, the release adds:

In the release, Turner emphasized the extended hours of operation for the in-person early voting period. “Beginning Monday, October 19, early voting will run 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily,” he said. “That’s a total of 140 hours in which voters can elect to cast their ballot.”

Turner also noted that the Nov. 3 General Election “sample ballots have been mailed to voters and are also available online.” Voters may review their sample ballots by visiting SarasotaVotes.gov and take the ballots with them as a reference when they vote in person, the release says.
