Penalties applied after that date

Sarasota County Tax Collector Mike Moran is reminding property owners that their 2025 property taxes must be paid by March 31 to avoid delinquency and additional penalties.
“The quickest and easiest way to pay is online,” Moran said in a news release. “Residents can visit SarasotaTaxCollector.gov to securely complete their payment in just a few minutes,” he added in the release.
“Online payments must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EDT on March 31,” the release notes.
The variety of payment options follows:
- Online — SarasotaTaxCollector.gov
- Drop box — Available 24 hours a day at the downtown Sarasota office, which stands at 101 S. Washington Blvd. (U.S. 301), with the drop box located on the south side of the Terrace Building, to the right of the main entrance on Adams Lane; Mid-County, which stands at 6100 Sawyer Loop Road in Sarasota, where the drop box is at the entrance; the Venice office, which is in the Robert L. Anderson Administration Center standing at 4000 S. Tamiami Trail; and within North Port City Hall, which is located at 4970 City Hall Blvd.
The release cautions that persons choosing the drop box option should pay by check only; cash should not be placed in any of the drop boxes.
- By mail — Payments must be postmarked no later than March 31, addressed to Sarasota Tax Collector, 101 S. Washington Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34236-6993.
- In person — Appointments may be scheduled at SarasotaTaxCollector.gov.
