Sarasota Police detectives investigating Feb. 25 shooting in 3200 block of North Washington Boulevard

Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred just before 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, in the 3200 block of North Washington Boulevard (U.S. 301), the agency has announced.

No reports of injuries had been received by March 1, a news release noted. “Detectives believe this was an isolated incident,” the release adds.

Sarasota Police Department detectives think that individuals in two vehicles began shooting at one another, the release continues. The vehicles last were seen heading northbound on U.S. 301, the release adds. The first vehicle is a gray Infinity, while the make of the second vehicle is unknown, the release says. That second vehicle is a white sedan.
