Three area post offices offering expanded weekend hours

Postal Service providing extra time for holiday transactions

The U.S. Postal Service has announced extended retail hours at three of its area post offices, to help consumers during the holiday season.

Full services will be provided, a news release says, including stamp sales and package acceptance.

The three area post offices and expanded times are as follows:

  • Glengarry, located at 935 N. Beneva Road, Suite 801, Sarasota: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17; noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays, Dec. 11 and Dec. 18.
  • Venice, located at 350 W. Venice Ave.: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17; and noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays, Dec. 11 and Dec. 18.
  • Bradenton Lakewood Ranch, located at 5910 Post Blvd., Bradenton: noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays, Dec. 11 and Dec. 18.
