The Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness needs the public’s help to reach out to the homeless citizens of Sarasota and Manatee counties “and find out what their needs and issues are,” Partnership CEO Ed DeMarco has announced.

Each year, as the lead agency of the Continuum of Care, he explained in a news release, the Partnership is “charged with conducting a census of homeless citizens” in the two counties, which the Continuum of Care serves. “This is a part of a national effort to assess the status of the homeless and bring much needed funding into our region for vital local homeless service provision,” DeMarco added.

Training for the annual Point in Time survey will be conducted from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 9, 2019 at the Goodwill Manasota facilities located at 2701 51st Ave. E in Bradenton.

“Please join us on January 9th and learn ways in which you can get involved in this important community project,” DeMarco said in the release.
