The Lido Beach Pool, located at 400 Ben Franklin Dr., has been closed to the public temporarily because of a broken circulation pump, the City of Sarasota has announced.

“It is unknown when the pool will reopen,” a news release points out, because of supply chain difficulties in regard to obtaining the necessary replacement parts.

During the temporary closure, the release says, Lido Beach Pool passes will be honored at the Arlington Aquatic Complex, which is located at 2650 Waldemere St. That facility features a 50-meter lap pool, the release adds. It is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the release notes.

Further, the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex offers lap lanes, small and large slides, a splash pad zone, and zero entry, the release points out. By “zero entry,” the release means that a person can enter the water gradually, without using steps.

The Robert L. Taylor Community Complex is located at 1845 34th St. in North Sarasota. Its aquatic area is open Monday through Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m., the release adds.
