Hours will be 5 to 6:30 p.m. as part of Venice Night Market & Music
From 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, families are welcome to attend a free Halloween event on the Gulf: Trick-or-Treat at Maxine Barritt Park, GBack Media has announced.
The activities will take place at Maxine Barritt Park (1800 Harbor Drive S. in Venice, 34285), a news release notes. They will comprise “the Trick-or-Treat window” of Venice Night Market & Music — Halloween Edition, the release points out. Costumed youngsters and families “will move booth to booth for treats while enjoying a free, family-friendly night market atmosphere” at Venice’s waterfront park, the release says.
The event also will be pet-friendly, the release adds.
The full evening of activities, which will continue until 10 p.m., will feature live music, vendors, food trucks, a children’s Costume Parade at approximately 6:35 p.m., and a Pets Costume Parade at about 6:45 p.m., plus performances by Scott Lawrence and Rock Candy, the release notes.
“We’re bringing families to the park and giving every booth a chance to connect,” said Paul Kaldy of GBack Media, in the release. “Trick-or-treating on the Gulf is simple, free, and built for kids — and it makes the night better for our vendors and the whole community.”
Bayside Pet Resort is a partner in the event, the release adds.
