Families and individuals welcome between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at facility near Venice
On Saturday, April 23, big trucks will roll through CoolToday Park near Venice for the 26th annual Big Truck Day, Sarasota County staff has announced.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a news release says.
“Families and individuals of all ages are invited to honk horns, pull levers and take a closer look” at more than 30 big trucks and heavy machines, the release notes.
Members of the public also are invited to enjoy free hands-on crafts and children’s games, take a tour of CoolToday Park or stop by stadium concessionaires to purchase food and beverages, the release adds.
This year’s event is hosted by Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources and the Atlanta Braves, who conduct Spring Training at CoolToday Park, the release says.
CoolToday Park is located at 18800 W. Villages Parkway in Venice.
