Session to be held at Venice Community Center
On Tuesday, June 13, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public information meeting regarding upcoming improvements to the Circus Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway in Venice, FDOT has announced.
The session has been scheduled from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Venice Community Center, located at 326 S Nokomis Ave. in Venice, a news release says. The meeting has been planned to give interested persons the opportunity to talk one-on-one with FDOT staff and to make comments about the project, the release adds.
The plans call for the painting of the bridge’s structural steel, mechanical equipment improvements, spall repairs and the replacement of the bridge deck and sidewalk, the release explains. The $2.7-million project is set to begin late this month or in early July, with completion expected in the fall, the release adds.
