Sarasota County staff to accept unwrapped donations of toys through Dec. 13 at parks and libraries

Children ages 12 and under, and their families, are being invited to the free Breakfast with Santa event that staff members of the Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Department will host on Saturday, Dec. 18, the county has announced.

Each event will last from 10 a.m. to noon, a news release says.

“Enjoy breakfast, holiday music, and a visit by Santa in person at Laurel Park or by drive-through at Newtown Estates Park, and don’t forget to drop off letters for Santa!” the release adds.

“Register children ages 12 and under online before Dec. 10 for a toy giveaway,” it also notes.

Laurel Park is located 509 Collins Road in Nokomis, and Newtown Estates Park is located at 2800 Newtown Blvd. in Sarasota, the release adds.

Unwrapped toy donations for children ages 12 and under will be accepted through Dec. 13 at parks and libraries throughout the county, as follows, the release points out:
